Research Statement:
My main interests stem from the type of work it is. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the many steps and complexities that come with research are quite enjoyable for me. I am very interested in researching more biological and geological elements in relation to the environment.
Research Impact:
For my research, we were collected data on microplastics in some of Idaho's river systems. Microplastic research alone is not a hugely researched topic, so our work can be very beneficial in gathering essential data on the topic. It can also help us realize any correlations and causations of microplastic concentrations in the rivers.
