Research Statement:
I want to learn more about what can be done with the 3D creation software Blender. The research I did during my 2026 research did so through how to implement LiDAR and cloud point data.
Research Impact:
My research created a pathway for others to faster learn how to implement LiDAR and cloud point data for their own means in their research. With the talks of creating an AI data center in the location of the old Hoku Materials Polysilicon Plant, there is the potential for it to pollute the Snake River and interfere with the land and water promised to the Shoshone/Bannock Tribes. As an artist I took what I had learned and created an animation to further expand this awareness in Idaho.
