Research Statement:

I am interested in microbiology and exploring the development of new methods to prevent the spread of human disease caused by fungi, bacteria and viruses.

Research Impact:

This summer I worked on investigating the effect of cold atmospheric pressure plasma treatments on inactivating bacteria and fungi that cause human and plant diseases. This research is particularly important for the Idaho Crop Seed industry.
