Leo Ray is the owner and manager of Fish Breeders of Idaho and Fish Processors, a family owned and operated company founded in 1973. Ray is widely recognized as one of the most innovative and successful fish producers in the country. He raises, processes and markets channel catfish, blue catfish, Tilapia, trout, alligator, sturgeon and sturgeon caviar. The fish are raised and processed in the Buhl-Hagerman area of southern Idaho and marketed throughout North America. Ray is presently a member of the board of directors for the U.S. Trout Farmers Association; Aquaculture Industry Advisory Board; Idaho Research Foundation; and Hagerman Fish Culture Experimental Station Advisory Board. Ray is also a recipient of the Governor’s Award for Innovative Geothermal Energy Development.
